Photoshop won’t open – Error 201 after subscription check issue (Mac)

Question

Hi! I’m having a persistent problem with Photoshop on my Mac. It started by saying:

“We can’t verify your subscription status – Error Code: 12000”

Then after flushing the DNS cache and checking my internet (which is working fine), it now gives me:

“Sorry, Photoshop has encountered an error and needs to close – Error Code: 201”

I’ve already tried:

•Restarting my Mac

•Logging out and back into Adobe Creative Cloud

•Flushing DNS cache

•Turning off firewall temporarily

•Reinstalling Photoshop

•And even tried to use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

Nothing has worked so far, and I have an active subscription. Any help would be really appreciated!

I can see two subscriptions on your account — one is a cancelled Photography plan, and the other is a Creative Cloud All Apps plan that was just purchased today. This appears to be an activation delay. I recommend waiting a few hours and then following the steps outlined here to troubleshoot the issue:
