Sony A7R-ii photos not opening in Photoshop CS6 - they did yesterday

Today, InDesign CS6 failed to open, so I reinstalled Adobe CS6 Web & Design Premium.

After that, Sony A7R-ii photos would not open in Adobe Camera Raw/Photoshop CS6 - they did yesterday.

I tried downloading ApplicationManager6.2_all from archive.org, but after running the unzipped setup.exe, Adobe CC opened and updated itself. Raw photos still did not open after that.

I've tried downloading and running AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool, removing everything, and starting from scratch.

At the moment, I have Adobe CS6 Web & Design Premium installed, then I downloaded & installed AdobeCameraRaw_x64_16_1, but the raw photos still won't open.

In Photoshop, if I select Help > Updates, nothing happens.

Help appreciated.

Adobe automated support chat prompted me to check this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/troubleshoot-camera-raw-photoshop-photoshop.html#sa_src=web-messaging, on that page was a link to check which version of camera raw was compatible with CS6, which is 9.1.1.

I couldn't find an official link to download Adobe Camera Raw 9.1.1, but checking this thread there was a link to https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html which contained a link to download Adobe Camera Raw 9.1.1. Note; I had to right-click > save as (and choose Keep) to download it.

Finally, I had to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud to run the Adobe Camera Raw 9.1.1 installer.

Now the raw photos open.
