Spell check language?

Hello, I have been fighting with photoshop on this and finally decided to come and ask.
I have followed the steps of changing it in preferences, but, it doesn't work for the spell check.
I am in the UK, we have different spellings than US English. But the spell check, even though language is set to “English international”(why is there no English UK?) It keeps giving American spelling. Nothing I do seems to change this! 
It's frustrating and annoying. 
I have gone to preferences, Account  preferences, everything I can think of. I installed it in the UK, my location is the UK, so why on earth does it keep giving me american spelling?
