UPGRADING TO PHOTOSHOP 24.6 - program unstable

Since upgrading to Photoshop 24.6 the program has become unstable. I followed all the suggestions on line even uninstalling and re-installing the program to no avail. When I try to exit the program or close or open a second window I get this error message: "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Then the whole thing crashes.

I am able to work on a file and save it... Any thoughts?

    Hi!

    We are sorry to hear that you are having this problem. Did you check to make sure that your computer meets the minimum specs for the new version of Photoshop? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

     

    Also, when yuo uninstalled and reinstalled, did you use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to clean out any old or corrupt files?

    If you are unable to work in 24.6, I would recommend moving back to the last version that was stable (keeping the new version installed) and then updating when 24.6 puts out another fix.
