Workspace issues in Photoshop 25.0.0

Hi folks. I'm running a 2020 Intel iMac 27" with i7 and AMD 5500 XT 8GB running Sonoma 14.1.. I use an additionnal 32" display for my main display and use the Mac screen for pallettes and controls in a custom workspace.

It's worked flawlessly for years, but since updating to 25.0.0 I've found a severe issue making Photoshop unusable. Clicking anywhere on the Layers, Colours, Brushes and additional panels is completely impossible. The action simply passes straight through to the desktop and clicks outside of the application.

Resetting and rearranging the workspace has no effect. Using standard workspaces (attached to the main board) works as it should.

I've reinstalled the app without success and deleted the workspace files to address conflicts from the older version. Still without success.

Can anyone cast light on a solution??

Quitting and restarting makes zero difference to this issue. Reinstalling doesn't work either. Nor does deleting settings files and starting from scratch.

Thanks, but no. Not even after thousand restarts and a little rain dance.

Quit and restart Photoshop. This often clears up minor glitches and can sometimes resolve workspace issues.

Thanks Daniel, I've been doing the same thing. It's driving me up the wall in frustration. All the money we pay for problems like these 😞

Same here. It's making me mad. I found sort of a workaround (except beeing forced to use the app frame, which I hate) . I start by resetting to "essentials" workspace. From there I make sure the tool panel etc is not stuck to the edge of the frame but instead floats free. That works most of the time. But now and then it goes back to beeing buggy. 😕😕

I have this problem. Sonoma 14.1. Latest Photoshop. But it only happens when the application frame is turned off, which is essential if you're using multiple monitors.

UPDATE 27/10/2023 - The update 25.1 does not fix this issue.

Sonoma 14.1. As per the details above.

Are you running Mac OS Sonoma?

UPDATE: This issue is specific to Photoshop. None of the other Adobe apps I use - Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver - are affected.
