Excuse my utter ignorance, but, is it possible to edit Stock 3d fonts in Photoshop

It would be useful to know what exactly you are hoping to do?

Are you talking about creating new fonts from existing fonts?

Or are you talking about simply editing 3D text?

Heck, you might even be using v22.2 and using the now discontinued 3D functions.

 

I expect you know that you can turn Type layers into vector shape layers?

Hi!

How do you want to edit a Stock 3D font? Can you show us an example and give us an idea of how you want to edit it?

More than likely you'll need a vector application like Adobe Illustrator to edit the text, since most are available in either AI/EPS vector files in which Photoshop rasterizes or Jpegs which cannot have more than one layer (no layers except for the Background Layer)
