The 3D menu doesn't appear on my Photoshop CS6 extended.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (Version 6.1)

Any ideas about what is going on?

That's an entirely different issue... The software is looking for your Graphics Processor to deliver a certain level of functionality, and apparently it's not finding what it needs.

Check your Edit - Preferences - Performance dialog, and see if the [ ] Use Graphics Processor option is enabled. If it can be but is not currently enabled, try checking it then restarting Photoshop.

If it can't be enabled, you may want to see if you can get an updated display driver from the web site of the maker of your video card in your computer.

The 3D menu was greyed out on my computer only because I was trying to use the 3D option on a png. I do have CS6 Extended Photohop. I tried using the 3D option on text and the menu was not longer greyed out and I could use the 3D features. If you are trying to use the 3D menu on a png your image needs to be in RGB mode.

I've seen several posts on different forums, refering to the 3D capability of Photoshop not working when trying to create 3D Text.
Ensure that your document is in RGB Colour Mode.
3D will not work if you've created or opened a CMYK document.

Legend

The appearance / hiding of the menu is dependent on whether Photoshop thinks your license is for Extended or Standard, and that's managed through the serial number.

If you've purchased Extended, but only Standard features are available, you may ultimately have to call Adobe customer support to get it worked out. But some folks have reported here on the forum that Deactivating the software (through the Help menu) then reactivating it has cleared similar problems.

Thanks for your answer. I uninstalled and installed it again and now the 3D menu is appearing.

But now all the options inside the 3D menu are unavailable. I can see them but they aren't available for clicking.

Any thoughts about that?
