Hi all.
I apologize if I'm posting this question in the wrong place.
There is a task, to cut a closed spline in the Illustrator application, into segments that are obtained using the "Puppet Warp" tool, the Photoshop application. The first thing that comes to mind is to export the resulting tool mesh. But Photoshop does not provide such an opportunity. Does anyone have an idea how to do this trick. Perhaps there is a script that makes such a grid in Illustrator?

If you look for more info, there are also several tutorials on how to create such patterns manually and of course you can always use other programs. Inkscape has a similar tool and it's free...

Some of what you say is not clear:
Screenshots would help.

Ideally, I would like to see the Puppet Warp tool in Illustrator. Let's say it's already there, And using this Illustrator application tool, I'm breaking up a closed spline into pieces...

Maybe posting some screenshots or sketches could help illustrate what you mean.
What are you trying to break up – vector graphics or pixel imagery?

Yes, there is a Puppet Warp tool in Illustrator as well as in Photoshop.
You haven't:

Mesh
Let's say this photo is the result of running a tool like Photoshop's Puppet Warp in Illustrator. As a result of the work of such a tool, we get that the closed spline of the contour of the image layer is broken into separate parts. The size of the resulting grid should also be regulated. A closed path can be either a layer area of a Photoshop document or a closed vector object in Illustrator

In general, this task can be described in other terms. There is a closed spline of non-convex shape. It is necessary to break this spline into parts, each of which is a convex shape. This is essentially what the Puppet Warp tool does, creating a mesh in Photoshop.
