Accessing "Filter" Gallery and Text Layer Style Blending Options

For some reason, I can't access my "Filter Gallery" under Filter/FIlter Gallery... I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that I uploaded the Nik collection filters awhile ago.

I also only show one type of Blending Option (Pattery Overlay) under Layer Style when I double click on a text layer. There should be more...

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I found out the problem. Apparently, you can't apply filters from the Filter Gallery or use text layer style blending options (other than pattern overlay) for a 16-bit image. You need to have or convert to an 8-bit image. Then both work. It has nothing to do with the Nik Collection filters.

Do you mean they are there but greyed out, or simply not visible?

Do you have this option checked in Preferences?

They are greyed out. And, yes, I have checked "Show all Filter Gallery groups and names."

Any suggestions?
