Does any one knows if the action recording will be enhanced some day?

Specially intergrating quick export which is not the case yet…

As you probably know, being a Community Expert, Adobe never really says what they plan to do. I have heard that they are looking at actions. Since you are a Community Expert, you can probably get on the prerelease, if not already, and see what Adobe intends to do.

I would say that Export As/Quick Export needs to be enhanced to allow actions to record it, not the other way around.  :]

EDIT: Or enhance actions, whatever gets the job done!

That being said, actions are long overdue for an overhaul, the last significant change was the addition of a limited set of conditional action options in CS6.

I second what Chuck and Stephen said. Usually, when a native feature is not recordable into an Action, core (C++) work is needed to expose it to the ActionManager/BatchPlay level.

Features that rely on UXP dialogs may be coerced into Actions with simpler code (on the UXP side), but it's Adobe engineers' work in both cases anyway.

The team has been listening to users feedback, and although the main focus today seems to be around generative technology, the best way to trigger action is to be vocal about it 🙂
