Actions not coming "off" image when hiding layer

Hi there! something strange is happening. When I apply an action to my image and decide I want to just hide the action in the layer panel, the action still appears "applied" to my image eventhough it is hidden in the layers section. It's not until I delete the action group that it disappears. This is very frustrating as I can't see my progress as I go along, with changes I am making. Did the updates change something I am missing?

Your terminology appears to be off … an Action cannot be hidden in the Layers Panel.

So as mglush already requested please post meaningful sccreenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Actions, Options Bar, …) visible.

Does turning off Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Legacy Compositing and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Hi!

Can you show us a screenshot of your workspace with the image open? And, what version of Photoshop are you using? What action are you trying to execute? Just one quick thought, are you targeting the right layer with your action?
