Actions not working

I updated my photoshop and then all of my actions disappeared. I then downloaded all of my actions again and now they don't work. They are skin smoothing actions and I should be able to paint brush them on but I no longer can use them at all. I tried downloading an earlier version of PS and it made no difference. HELP ME AHHHHH!!!

Actions which worked in previous version will work in newest, there is no changes in development regarding actions. Please provide us with more details or even better record screen video to explain what exactly does not work. If you can not record video play action then record screen with error message, Actions panel and Layers panel visible.

If the result of the action is masked/hiden, ensure that the layer mask is active and that you are painting with a white brush at the desired opacity and that the layer opacity is correct. This is obviously just a guess. Good luck!
