Hi How does one add such a type of texture to images in Adobe Photoshop cs6 without paisting seperate textures rather by using a brush?

Whatever way you want to add the texture, you'll need to select the foreground object, and copy it to a new layer.  Then you can paint, paste etc. the texture onto a layer beneath.
