I’m using the new Adjustments preset feature and creating my own presets. I have a series of adjustment layers that I’m creating a preset with.
When I create the preset, it’s grayed out. I can’t access it, I can’t delete it, I can’t do anything with it (see screenshot).
If I hover over it I get an error:
blend modes in this preset are incompatible with this document.
What does this mean? The preset was literally in use with that very document with no problems and now it's not compatable all of a sudden?
I tried creating a blank document to see if it would work and the same thing is happening.
So, how do I fix this and how do I make it so I can delete the presets?
Finally, I also noticed the “Libraries” tab which also has a “Presets” section where I can do the same exact thing; save a group of adjustment laters as a preset. What is the difference between this and the Adjustments preset section. Seems redundant. And finally, how do I use presets saved here in actions? I tried recording an action and adding the preset to an image but that didn’t work.
Using Photoshop 25.9.1 on MacOS 14.5

Can you still use the provided presets?
Do you have any of the fly out menu options checked?
Have ever been able to use your own presets.
I want to ask your workflow for creating the presets, but I think that they would not appear in the panel if you had got it wrong.

Hmmm... I have tried to get my presets to grey out. You can make ALL presets grey out if you have no document window selected, but I can't make just the recorded presets grey out. I tried having no layers selected and turning all layers off, but it still worked.
Did you record or import your presets?

Just tried it with a MacBook Pro with Sonoma, and still can't make them grey out. 😞
