I've encountered a bug in Photoshop where clicking on the adjustment presets does not apply or create an adjustment layer as it normally should. Previously, selecting a preset would automatically apply it and generate a new layer, but now there's no response when I click on them.

I've tried restarting Photoshop and checking for updates but the issue persists. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, @DimitryMak. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. I've tried to recreate this on Photoshop 25.12 & Photoshop (beta). I'll move your post to discussions for now.

Does this happen with specific documents? Are your documents stored on an internal or external drive?

Try these steps to manually clear up preferences in Photoshop:

Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to back up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)
macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2024 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2024.old)

This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.

Let me know if it helps. Thanks!
