adjustment slide makes my PS freeze and I must force quit

I just did the adobe cloud update for BR PS and LR.  Then restarted my computer.  EVERY TIME I use and adjustment slider on a layer, my photoshop freezes up and I'm forced to fore quit.  It's driving me BONKERS and I am so frustrated.  Please help!

If you upgrade to the update that went out this am (23.2.1) does the freeze go away?

Which adjustment sliders? Are you modifying layer styles? Or something else?

What does the preferences say about performances? Is it all as it should?

photoshop>preferences>performances

same window, cache levels?

Hello!

 

what are you working on: MAC, WIN? What are the specifications, RAM, graphics all the yaddayadda? How many applications are running in the background? Can it be the hardware? Did you check the performances in the preferences? Maybe you need to enhance the performances?
