Adobe Photoshop 3rd party plugins and royalty-free images; Utilizing multiple CPU cores and GPUs

Are there any Adobe supported third-party websites that have plug-ins and royalty-free images? Can Adobe Photoshop access multiple CPU cores? Can it utilize multiple GPUs?

Yes to multi-core; but CPU isn't the main bottleneck in Photoshop. Data throughput is much more important. Having fast disks with lots of free space for the scratch disk is much more important. Even RAM is less important. There's never enough anyway, no matter how much you have. The action is in the scratch disk.

 

Emphatically no to multi GPUs. Don't do it. The GPU is used for a lot of calculation with the result passed back to Photoshop. It's not a simple one-way street. GPU switching throws the data flow off. The result is crashing and other problems.
