Adobe Portfolio What do you think?

I have my domaine name and hosting renewal coming up and I was just looking at Adobe Portfolio offering page design and hosting with PS CC subscription.  I'd like to ask those that use it how it work and what they think?  I assume that the designs are responsive and mobile friendly, would my site have an SSL?  Can you use your own domaine name and what is your net visability like, will you come up in local searches.  Is there an online how to for this, being walked through the set-up process is not really answering many questions.

Thanks

I don't use it for my website, but I have taken a good look at it.

It does have mobile-friendly templates, and visiting a Portfolio-hosted site does appear to use HTTPS by default.

I don't know how well a Portfolio site shows up in searches, but there is a Search Optimization section in the site settings.

The site settings also have a place for you to enter the domain name you want to use, instead of the default subdomain.

Adobe has a FAQ for it…

Adobe Portfolio Basics

…and I wrote an article about an earlier version of it (Porfolio has more features now). Part of what I wrote about was comparing Portfolio to other website builders.

Using Adobe Portfolio

Portfolio is definitely a contender if you want to get a well-designed site up fast.

The more you need to customize the code, manage a very large site that isn't just a portfolio, or add advanced features (like people do with WordPress plug-ins), the less Portfolio will be useful.
