I have an old PC running Windows 10 Home, x64 bit, bought in May 2011. It has had a few bits replaced over the years, most recently a new AMD Ryzen5 3600, 6 Core Processor, 3.59 Hz. It’s still working fine for most purposes but the graphics card, an Nvidia GeForce GT 430 is showing its age and won’t allow installation of the latest updates of Photoshop and Bridge. The PC won’t run with these updates installed so I am currently running Photoshop v.22.1.0 and Bridge v.11.1.1.185 meaning that I don’t have access to the latest AI features and ‘enhance’ which I particularly want to use but which runs very slowly….I can only do one or two images at a time.
I live in a fairly rural area and don’t have confidence that my local Computer supplier / repairer can give me the very best advice on the optimum graphics card to suit my Photoshop needs…particularly since I have a very limited budget.
Can anyone please give me the benefit of their advice on this issue.
Thanks
The Photoshop system requirements are your best bet. Graphics cards are like flavors of ice cream, someone elses favorite may not be yours. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html Be sure to go with the "Recommended" and not minimum specs for longevity.

Your CPU Ryzen 5 3600 is fine. It will be good for next couple of years (my guess). When it comes to graphic card (GPU) go with GeForce 1050 Ti at least, preferably GeForce 1650 because they are similarly priced. Radeon RX 6500 XT is also budget option. In general you should go with GPU that has compute above 2000 on this list PassMark Software - Video Card Benchmarks - GPU Compute Video Cards
