AI fitting

Hi. I have an image. That image has an object located at left bottom corner. If I import a different version of that object, cropped, to this document, would have a tool, maybe an AI tool, which put that new version of that object in the correct position?
I´m asking it because I´d like to create an action which imports many different versions of different parts of an image an then put them in their correct positions.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible to illustrate th eprocess and how the images actually »relate«?

Here´s a very simple exemple:
Is it possible to automate this kind of action? I mean, move that red object to the black one position?

Have you tried selecting both Layers and using Edit > Auto-Align Layers?

I didn´t know that tool. But it´s not working. One layer is something like this:
The other is this:
The tool you mantioned could work in that situation? I receive the following error message:

I had hoped the similarities in the two layers would suffice for alignment, but apparently they don’t.
Who creates the images and why do they do it in this clipped form?
Do you have access to the actual layered images (as in this case the coloring of the lamp appears to have been done in Photoshop or some other image editing application anyway)?
Can you provide a set of sample images? (Though I am not optimistic that full automation of the alignment will be possible in Photoshop at current.)

I´ll try to explain the reason of my question. I use Stable Diffusion to improove some parts of a 3D render image. So, it´s commom to work in a cropped part, generate a lot of versions and then put them inside the original render, in Photoshop. I´m trying to automate that task, to be less tedious. So, I need to know if Photoshop has any tool that put that imported parts in the correct position.

I see no option for this at current.
But why don’t you just save the Selection/s you use for clipping (as Alpha Channels, Layer Masks or Paths) to use them later on for placing the amended image snippets?

Another option would be using the Selection to create a Layer Via Copy and convert that to a Smart Object so you can switch in other content (via a Script for example).

Thank you for replying. I was afraid there was no solution for I wanted. But I wanted to be sure. Thank you very much again. 😉

Well, you can implement a more efficient workflow with Scripting for example.
How many parts with how many permutations are you likely to have in one image and will you need to output all possible combinations?

A lot, hahahaha No problem. I´d like to know how I could go using exisitng tools. Thank you for your attention.

Scripting is existing Photoshop functionality.
Even if you want to avoid Smart Objects simply storing the Selections as Paths (or Layers or Channels or …) with a clear naming protocol for Paths and the corresponding processed replacement »snippets« is an Option.

Can you provide an image with the whole set/s of replacement snippets?
Will you need to output all possible combinations?
