Align option for clone stamp and healing brush not available

It seems that the option for align/not aligned for clone stamp and healing brush have disappeared from my header box. It was acheck box as i recall.

Any idea what happened?

OMG. I wish I could have Align removed. I never use it and it drives me insane how it auto- turns on if I double click the mouse holding Alt.

Looks like you have Enable Narrow Options Bar checked in Photoshop>Preferences>Workspace.

After changing the setting Restart photoshop to see the results.

This was my problem, thanks for that tip re uncheck Enable Narrow Options Bar ON

Reset your preferences:

PC Reset

  1. 1. Edit>Preferences>General (Ctrl+K)
  2. 2. Choose Reset Preferences on Quit
  3. 3. Restart Photoshop

Mac Reset

  1. 1. Photoshop>Preferences>General (Cmd+K)
  2. 2. Choose Reset Preferences on Quit
  3. 3. Restart Photoshop

Have you tried resetting all tools and your Photoshop preferences I see the check box you are referring to in Photoshop 2020.

Hi Rick

I have the "Aligned" checkbox for both the Clone Stamp tool and the Healing Brush tool. Can you show a screen shot of your tools with the options bar so we can see what it looks like? What version of PS (exact) do you have?

Hi

Click the button after your 3% angle and before the "which layers" selection. It's in the right place, and I think that's it. When you have a small monitor or have resized your window, Adobe will shrink some of the buttons so that all will fit.
