Align vertically help!!!

Hello comunity, I'm trying to learn photoshop and I'm having this problem, I'm trying to align 2 texts vertically but when I do this happens. can you help me get this fixed?

First Checkmark "Show Transform Controls" to give you an idea how your layers are grouped.

I would select the Premium Pack Type layer and use the up/down cursor keys to move "PremiumPack" layer away from the "Coffee" layer.

Then select both Layers to align your Type. Use the "Vertical Center Align" button in the upper right as shown here:

Where I might see a problem like you are showing is using the horizontal align button, but I'm not sure if you did that, because the Option bar screenshot does not show which button you clicked on.
