All my pattern swatches in Photoshop are gone! Help please!

Hello, Cindy here from the Netherlands. I am working on a Windows laptop as a student for surface pattern design. All my saved pattern swatches are missing. I can only see the default ones from PS. I worked for 1,5 years on them. Off course my working files are saved and backup twice, but I have to define and scale each pattern again if there is no solution to this. The only thing I noticed that there was an Windows Update last night. Can anyone please help me? Thank you very much.

I see Photoshop 2021 app is now Photoshop alone, and I see there is an update I can install, doest that have anything to do with my problem maybe?

Hi

If you open the patterns panel (Window > Patterns) can you click at the top right then use Import Patterns to re-import them from wherever you saved them. If you are not sure where you saved them you can search for *.pat files.

Hi Dave,

I did what you said, but there was only 1 patternswatch (.PATfile). And
that was a pattern I made with the Pattern Preview Tool, but I usually
don't use this tool. I make my patterns with the Transformtool and define
the pattern or I use the Offsetttool and define them. Is there another file
type I can search for when importing patterns?

Thank you.

Cindy
