Alt + Right click and drag to change brush size not working

Engaged ,

Having an issue on mac only where the alt + right click drag shortcut to change brush size and hardness isn't working. Using the latest version of PS and Big sur and instead of it changing the brush size or hardness, it brings up the eyedropper instead when hitting alt and having the brush tool selected. This works normally on Windows. How do I fix this?

The shortcut on the mac side is Control-Option left click drag left or right for brush size.

Not true, shortcut for mac is option right click and it does not work because the option button brings up the color picker and that seems to be the main issue with this problem.

Same problem here, 2 years later....

I have this option checked and it still doesn't work and when I press the "option" button, the eyedropper symbol appears. Any other options? Thank you
