I am hoping to re-create the attached GIF file. A step by step procedure as to how to do this using Illustrator (25.4.8) and Photoshop (version 22.5.9)

Yes Adobe Express added a lot of animations so you can use them for simple jobs like this. 🙂

Photoshop and Illustrator are probably not the right tools for this. Photoshop can animate layers and export as animated GIF, but the problem is that the type of wipe animations shown would require significant and time-consuming manual setup in Photoshop, including layers, masks, and different animations of the masks using keyframes.

But those types of animations are very very standard in presentation apps such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, and probably Google Slides. The fastest way to get those done would be to set up each element on a slide in one of those presentation apps, apply the wipe transition you want from a menu, and export as animated GIF. This could take less than 5 minutes.

In Photoshop it would take much longer because there are no wipe transitions, you have to build them yourself from nothing. I am not sure if Illustrator can even do this. Adobe Express might, but I haven’t used it much.

Those type of wipe transitions are also commonly available in video editing applications, so if you are experienced in those, you can also get it done in one of those. But I think using a presentation app would be the fastest, simplest way.

Hi, If I would have to stick to 2D apps, I would create the graphics in Adobe Express if possible, because there are really nice animations and effects and really easy to use! I would export it as a mp4 and convert it to a gif in Photoshop. Maybe that would help!
