Apostrophe changes to greater than symbol

Hi everyone!

So sometimes in photoshop my apostrophe key creates a greater than symbol.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

In Photoshop, go to: Preferences > Type, and untick “Use Smart Quotes”.

Is your shift key stuck?

Some things to check:

OS Accessability options to see if you have a "Sticky" key turned on (hitting shift multiple times holds it down).

or it could be something as simple as a physical stuck key.
