Apple Pencil lagging when drawing in photoshop for iPad

At first it worked just fine but after five minutes it started to lag. So enoying! My iPad Pro 2018 is new, also the pen, and I only have three layers in the file.

what to do?

Just adding to this thread- I have the same issue, only my lags immediately upon opening.  (I have the 2nd gen iPad Pro. Hope that's not an issue.)

I just got an iPad 6 Gen and bought a pen, waiting for the "it simply works" experience. The pen lags, massively, the finger doesn't and the pen works smoothly in all other apps. Has anybody found a solution so far?
