Auto place image / Resize to Art Board size

Hey there,

Does anyone know if there is a way to have a layer automatically resize to the art board size when being placed?

for example. I have a few artboards setup, I just want to drag and drop a image into each of these artboards, and have them sized to fill the art board.

I am putting a emphasis on art board because I've found sizing to canvas solutions, but art board canvas don't work the same way. Photoshop considers the entire diameter encompassing all the artboards to be the canvas size...which is not what I am looking for.
