Hello,
I googled a question about auto updates of CC and saw lots of discussion about how people are trying to fix issues with auto-updated newer versions of photoshop, illustrator, etc.
My question is a little different, and I apologize if it has already been asked and I just can't find it. I have had CC for several years. I have old versions of photoshop and illustrator that have worked great and that I love very much. Then the 2023 versions rolled out. It auto-updated on my computer. When I try to launch them I have to deal with all these splash screens and things about how my poor old decrepit processor lacks the power to run these fancy new awesome applications and how this feature or that feature has been turned off so I can run the new versions. Honestly, I don't know about the new features...don't need to know about th enew features...don't want to know about the new features. I don't have time to learn new stuff. I need to use the tool I have and get on with it.
So, I guess I was perfectly happy with the older versions of photoshop and illustrator. Didn't want or need the newer versions. Certainly didn't want any newer versions that remind me I need to buy a new computer or that have tools that I can't or won't ever use anyway.
To my question: Can I delete the NEW versions of photoshop or illustrator and still just keep my old 2022 or 2020 versions? If not, why not? I pay my monthly subscription, so what's the difference to adobe if I just stay in my old fart's bubble and don't avail myself of all the new whizbangs and gollygees that won't work on my computer anyway (and that I don't have time to learn even if they did work on my computer)?
Thanks for any help, and apologies if I offend or am clueless.
