Make an action using Save As.. saving as GIF, then use File/Automate/Batch.

I know this is from 4 years ago, but I figured out the best way to do this. So after recording your action of "Export>Save for Web (Legacy)". When you you go to "Automate>Batch" make sure "Overide Action "Save-As" Commands" is checked. This worked for me and saved me a lot of time. Hope this helps others that are looking for a solution to this.

Hi, check out the batch export tool I made for PS. It's easy and simple.

Have you tried using Image Processor Pro? If I remember correctly that includes Save for Web options.

ps-scripts - Browse /Image Processor Pro/Betas at SourceForge.net

I followed your link and read about it and there is a screenshot that shows all the output options and unfortunately gif is not one of them it does my png but what im working on only supports gif and jpeg and I need the transparency.
