Batch Process NEF/DNG Files

New Here ,
Nov 02, 2020 Nov 02, 2020

I want to be able to batch process about 150 NEF/DNG files.  I want the following actions to take place:

Auto Levels

Auto Noise Reduction

Auto Surface Blur

Save as a JPG that is no larger than 30MB

(What I mean by Auto is allow Photoshop to look at each photo and evaluate each one on its own)

Problem is that I cannot set the actions because the Raw Editor always loads first.  I am also not sure if the Auto setting will just reapply what it found on the photo I used to create the Action. I was hoping that by saving the files as DNG this would not happen.

Newbie here - what can I say!!!

Thanks

Have you tried using the Image Processor Script to batch your Raw files and have it include an action you supply in its processing. It has a RAW option that you can use to have it open ACR dialog on the first image where you set the set the conversion setting. Then script will the use those settings for the rest of the batch.  You do not have to use that option. If you do not. The script will just have  ACR use its defaults or the setting you has set previously the the raw files in the batch. I woul thing a Camet imags save as a 8Bit Jpeg quality 10 will be under 30MB.. It would need to be extreanly Noise ot detailse to be ovet 30MB and you action or ACR setting are addressin noise.

The "standard" workflow approach would be to open all 150 files into Adobe Camera Raw. Then apply the required develop settings on a representative file. Then select all files in the "filmstrip" and sync settings to the other 149 files. Then press the save images button to render out the modifications to a final JPEG file. All of this is performed in the raw converter without opening the files into Photoshop.
