Batch process pairs of images

Participant ,
Nov 25, 2020 Nov 25, 2020

I have an Enlaps camera that has two lenses, the online software stitches JPEGs - but not Raw files.

I will have a few thousand paired images, is their an automated script to do this efficiently?

Thanks

There are many scripts to process pairs of images. A similar recent request here:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/help-open-files-from-a-folder-in-pairs/m-p/11623966?page=1#...

If you search these forums you will find them, however, they are very specific and would likely need to be adapted for your specific task.

Opening two files that meet a certain condition is only the first step. How are these files "paired", can you provide a sample of a pair of filenames or provide info on what other criteria makes the images a "pair"?

Once the two files are open in Photoshop, what should happen next? Detailed step by step info is needed. Do you currently have an action that works on two open images to do what you require?

Finally, how will the files be saved? What file format and options? Is a specific naming convention required? If saving a layered file, do the layers need specific names etc?

EDIT: Another option based on one of JJMack's scripts -

Perhaps the solution is very easy, use built in Image Pocessor, for example, with Save in Same Location turned on.

I don't believe that it can open pairs for processing though Bojan, just individual images,

Your right, a lot more info is required...

Raw files may prove to be a challenge for casual scripters.

Thanks for looking in to this. The Enlaps camera shoots in pairs to achieve 120 degrees FOV, their online software only stitches together JPEG - I want to try shooting in RAW so need to use third party software. I anticipate having a couple of thousand images to stitch so need to automate the process.

You may wish to edit your post to remove contact details, just in case they are harvested by spammers.

As previously requested, a whole lot of information is required for somebody to productively offer help without wasting their time and energy.

Perhaps you could provide a download link to the files stitched together by the online software and the two pairs of original images. It would also be good to provide two raw file pairs to see what is possible.

Here are a couple of JPEGs, normally about 4Mb each in size that can be stitched together on the Enlaps online platform and works well. RAW files shot with the same camera are around 35Mb each in size - which I think will deliver much better results for sunsets and low light landscapes.

I look forward to hearing what you think.

Now that I understand your request, I'm putting it in the too hard basket, sorry.

Fair enough, I mmay have resolved this - going to try using a stitching program call PTgui, will report back soon.

On another note to this project, does anybody know the best way to match the colours from a JPEG to the RAW files? The camera can shoot in both formats simultaneously so thought it best to colour match them exactly.

Thanks for your help.
