I don't use a beauty plugin, but you can find them for Photoshop sorted by rating here:

If you're looking to remove blemishes, you could use the Spot Healing Brush, the Healing Brush, or the Remove Tool.

A trick I used to use when I still worked as a photographer, was to use negative values for the Clarity slider in the Camer RAW filter.  This is a before & after with Clarity set to -80%.  You'd need to use some masking to remove some of the blurred areas, but it makes a decent job of it and it is free.
