Hi. I'm writing because I'm planning on getting a new laptop for work. (Photo retouching, Vector tracing and Painting)
I currently got this one which I thought would be enough, since wherever you go they tell you that you don't need much power for photoshop, howerver I'm very dissapointed since even when I installed a 1tb SSD, it is still way too slow using the smudge tool at 2% on a painting at A4 canvas of 300ppi. I would like something that can handle those tasks and get faster results, which I'm currently not getting, it is very very slow when I'm paiting on my graphic tablet and I start fast sketching or using a brush that isn't the common round brush at painting.
I was thinking about a MSI CE62 because I find very attractive the i7 6700HQ 16GB DDR4 RAM, The 128 m2 ssd and of course the 1060 GPU, but I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me, since the price is very high I'm concerned that if I go for a cheaper model with the same specs but a lower gpu like a 970m or 960m. I don't do any gaming so on that part I'm sure it wouldn't miss any extra power in case there wouldn't be difference for photoshop (I use it the most), or if you have any suggestions of different models with other specs I'm open to them. I just want something that can make my reoutching/painting less painful
Thanks in advance ![]()
