Has been a while since active use of P:hotoshop. Please remind me of est tools to select a, odd geometry in an image containing various colors, and opened in Photoshop. Believe I successfully used magnetic selection tool in the past? Just tried, without success. Has something changed?

Best,  and Happy New Year,

The Magnetic Lasso only works well if there is a sharp contrast. You can try:

  • The new Object Selection tool (2020 only)
  • Select and Mask
  • Pen tool, then convert to selection in Paths panel
  • Any other selection method, such as Quick Mask, Channel Masking, etc.

Whe you post the screenshot Leslie asked for, we can help narrow down the choices.
