Black dots after 3d render

I'm having trouble figuring out how to fix this issue I have. Everytime I use stroke or drop shadow and begin rendering the 3D layer, I get these black dots that appear. How can I get rid of them and fix the issue? Thanks.

    if i turn off the effects the dots do go away. any way to keep them on without the dots appearing?


    Try turning off groundplane shadows in Environment Properties (it looks like you are not making use of them anyway).

    If that does not help, can you post a link to the file and I'll take a look at it

    From your screenshot without seeing the layers panel, no-one is going to be able to tell you much.

      Hi - It looks like the effects are being applied to noise from ray tracing in the 3D render, What happens if you turn the effects off - do you still see the dots?
