Black screen when launched

Hi all.

Recently, I have been unable to use Photoshop (and Illustrator). Opening the application results in this black screen. I am on the 21.1.3 version of the app, and I use a Macbook Pro, updated to the latest possible version. Attached is the screenshot from when I open Photoshop. I've attempted unchecking the graphics processor and reinstalling. Attempting to create a new file renders useless too. What should I do?
