Black Screen?

Once again it seems, Photoshop is acting up. Whenever I open the software I'm met with a black screen. I can't open files or create new ones, so Photoshop is pretty much useless. Essentially, if I can't sort the problem I'll have to cancel my subscription which is massive pain as I'm reliant on the software to create my webcomics etc.

Operating system:  Windows 10 Home 64

Processor: Intel Core i7-8550U

Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

RAM: 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM

Adobe Photoshop Version: 19.1.6 20180808.r.398 2018/08/08: 1185588  x64

Hi

Your system has dual GPU's both an Nvidia 940MX and an on board Intel GPU, this kind of setup in known to cause issues with Photoshop

Take a look here especially sections 7 and 8

Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Also have you tried resetting Photoshop preferences
