Hi,
I have a question. Not special for Adobe, but because I cannot find an answer anywhere, I hope one of you can help me out.
My problem is that the last couple of months the background of my thumbnails in Windows 10 Explorer are black. I have a lot of brushes and other (semi_black files and now I cannot see the picture on the thumbnail. When I click on it to show it bigger on the right side of the screen, the bigger view is also black.
Does anyone knows how I can turn thiese backgrounds back to white again????
Sorry I'm all out of suggestions, I've Googled everything I could find and can't find anyone with a similar issue
It's either Bridge or FastStone image viewer that I mentioned above
You could try this, but not sure if that will fix the issue

Since you are looking for an Adobe solution, I suggest you look at your thumbnails via Bridge. Once there, go to Preferences > Interface > Image Backdrop where, using the slider, you have the options of black, white and all the tones between those extremes.

Thank you for reacting Norman. I hace the Photographer version (Photoshop and Lightroom). No Brigde 😞
Do you have another suggestion? Don't need to be an Adobe-one...

Thank you for reacting Ged2016.
I tryd the Windows selution, but it did not work.
I think there is no problem with the icons, the thumbnails of my pictures are fine. It is just the black background that makes that I can not see my black artwork on the thumbnails. I want that background white. So I think perhaps it is something from Windows, but I cannot find it and nobody answers to my questions there...

Shows up fine on my Windows 10 PC in file explorer
I'm at a loss as to what's causing that on your PC but it's obviously PNG's with transparent backgrounds

Well, I think this is hopeless. I know it is a transparant background, for when I open the file it is OK to work with. Problem is I have to open lots of files before I have the right one (A lot of files have numbers in stead of names).
It is nog only my Photoshop files, alle PNG with transparant backgrounds are getting a black background in Windows explorer. And not just on my computer, also on my husbands and on my tablet (with Windows 10 on it).
I am trying to install Bridge at this moment, hoping that willt the solution...

Tahnk you Ged for all your time and trouble.
I downloaded Faststone now. And geuss what: IT WORKS!
I did not want to use another programme than Windows, but I am sure this is much nicer than working with those black boxes.
Thank You very much for helping me out!

Hi no worries
In case you need to you can change the background color in FastStone by going to settings, I think the default is black
