Blank screen

When I open Photoshop, I just get a blank black screen. There seems to be something underneath it, as the mouse icon changes from the arrow to the 'finger'. I've tried bypassing the homescreen and just opened an image, but that too is just a blank screen. I've updated the software, but same issue. What can I do?

Have you tried this, what type of GPU is in your system?

"Try updating your GPU driver from the manufacturers website"

As a last resort you could try this

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

    Thanks Ged,

An update of my Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 did the trick. Thank you!

Not sure if my last message posted. I'm using PS CC 2018, and had no problems since getting new laptop at xmas. I've been away for a week, come back and it just looks like this:

I've tried reinstalling, but it hasn't made a difference. Lightroom still works, just not PS.

    Hi

This is normally caused by a defective GPU driver

    Take a look here

Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Try updating your GPU driver from the manufacturers website

It would also help if you posted more info, like OS and PS versions and system specs, a screenshot would help too

Thanks Ged, I'll give that a try. I'm using PS CC2018, just reinstalled to try and sort, but no joy. I have had it working no problem since I got my laptop at xmas, been away for a week and come back to the issue. Here is a screen shot...
