Description:

Whenever I switch my convertible laptop to tablet mode in photoshop, the app freezes and I get a blue screen, without fault. It is unusable. Everything works fine in regular laptop mode, I can work for 30 minutes without any issue, but if I flip it around to tablet mode, boom!

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Photoshop
  2. Flip computer into tablet mode

System info:

  • Adobe Photoshop 23.0.2
  • Windows 10 Home 21H2 (build 19044.1387)
  • HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df1xxx
  • Intel Core i7-8565U @ 1.8 GHz
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Intel UHD Graphics 620 + NVIDIA GeForce MX150

Let me know if I can provide any additionnal info/logs to help debug the issue, as this is completely blocking me from using Photoshop.

Hi

Blue screens are usually related to buggy drivers and in Photoshop's case it's mostly with GPU drivers

Take a look here, especially sections 7 and 8

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

Have you updated the GPU drivers from the manufactures website, do you use the Nvidia Studio driver of the Game Ready, Adobe recommends the Studio version
