Question

Blur effect isn't permanently applied

When applying a brush effect (blurring people's name tags) the exported photo uploads to other platforms without the effect applied, as if I never blurred their name tags. How comes it's doing this? Has anyone else ever experienced this issue?

I apply the blur effect by using the brush and bringing down the clarity and sharpening way down.

Save edited image under a new filename i.e. my_awesome_image2.jpg.

Replace all old images with the new filename.

Hard refresh your browser with Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + R to clear memory cache.

Hope that helps.

Thank you! I'll try that next time. I actually ended up solving it ... it was a silly mistake. I was exporting the edited image as "original" instead of JPG. No wonder the edits weren't showing up properly.
