Hey Everyone,

Lately ive noticed when creating text in Photoshop once exporting and putting on the web, the text is awfully blurred. The font is no more than 40px and size of banner is tested even at 72 DPi and 320, 360DPI. Only noticed this since January 2023. I havent changed anything either. Im downloading into Bigcommerce Carousels. Or could it be Bigcommerce problem? Im using a Mac with latest updates both on Mac and Photoshop.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.

Which version of Photoshop are you using? How does the exported image look in an image viewer? Does the text area get blurred?

It's strange that the texts are getting blurred with such a high concentration of pixels.

Since when are you seeing this issue?

We're here to help, just need some info.

Regards,

Ranisha

When viewed at 100%, it doesn't look blurry to me.

If you're viewing the image on a website, the image might be scaled by the web browser, which can make it soft.

And if you have a Retina display, web browsers and image viewers will scale images to 200% to make them roughly the same size as on a non-Retina display.

Ppi has no effect on screen viewing (it's for printing only), the only numbers that matter are the pixel dimensions, 1920 x 520 in this case.
