Hi,

Could someone point in the right direction please.

I am trying to get a crisp white border around the heart shape of 10 pixels or so, but not sure how to start. Been trying a few things for the last couple of hours, but getting stuck as all of my results are just not looking good (very jagged edges for example)

Thank you!

Have you tried using the Stroke layer effect set to Outside? What result did you get?

Depending on the rest of your image, this would probably best be done in Adobe Illustrator.

If you need to do it in Photoshop, you could try this:

Select the Custom Shape tool.

In the Options bar, click the down arrow next to Shape.

Expand All Legacy Default Shapes folder. There are 2 heart shapes in that folder that you could use.

In the Options bar you can choose stroke color, stroke width, etc. In the Properties panel, you may want to choose round corners to smooth the bottom point of the heart.

The shapes are vector, so they will have smooth edges.
