Borderless mode printing

When I print from either photoshop or illustrator in borderless mode I get a 1/2 inch wide band of off color on my prints.  This is new and its making me a bit crazy.  I know how to set up borderless printing, with retain size and have done it hundreds of times. Is it from one of the updates???  I have a PC and use an epson artisan 1430.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
