Bracket hotkey doesn't change eraser size

My pen is set to default with the eraser as the top nub. When I use my eraser, the touch ring set to brush size (hot key [ ]) does not change the eraser size. Instead, it continues to change the tool set to the tip. I've looked everywhere - I'm sure it's an easy fix. Help! (Time sensitive)

Hi JJMack​ - thanks for responding! Just updated to 19.1.2 and the problem was solved!

I updated a few days ago, so I thought I was on the latest version. For anyone having this issue, here is the update information that helped me out:

Updated from 19.0 to 19.1.2

Adobe Photoshop Version (latest): 19.1.2 20180302.r.277 2018/03/02: 1160083  x64

Wacom Driver: 6.3.27-2

CC PSD18 is that CC 2017 Photoshop version 18 or CC 2018 Photoshop version 19.  If either are they updated tie the latest versions.  What Wacom Driver version do you have installed. Are you using Microsoft Ink or Wintab APIs for Pen mapping. I do not have a problem like that.
