Brand new M2 Studio is so slow

Hey all. I just bought a new Studio M2 Max with 96G of RAM. I got it because my Intel iMac was so slow on larger Photoshop and complex Illustarator files. I'm working right now on a file that's 2.7G and 12 layers. So not huge. It's still completely bogging down Photoshop. Trying to adjust a setting or move an objest causes the CPU usage to just to 500%. This is ridiculous. Any one have any idea why this is and what I can do to fix it??

We're sorry about the trouble! Please go to the Help menu in Photoshop, then System info, and copy the text. You can either paste the text as a reply here or paste it into a text file and attach the file with the original post.

Meanwhile, try adding Photoshop to Full disk access on macOS using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/3MVsetu

I was on the phone with Apple for quite a while yesterday and they ran me through a bunch of system diagnotics and checks. They say my computer is more than powerful enough to do what I need. I was also on a help chat with Adobe yesterday for quite a while. Their diagnosis was that my processor isn't powerful enough to run the latest version of Photoshop, which seems ridiculous. They told me I should have bought an M3 machine, even though M3 Studios don't exist yet. As usual, each company blames the other.

I'll see about giving Photoshop full disk access, and in the meantime here is my system info from Photoshop:

Thanks for the info! Looking at the system info you've shared, it looks like you're using Photoshop 25.5 on macOS Sequoia. Please check the compatibility for macOS Sequoia here: https://adobe.ly/4ebP1xb

Please update Photoshop to the latest version along with adding the application to Full disk access and let us know if that makes a difference.
