Bring back the anchors on text boxes and images for a layer

I updated Photoshop 23.2.2 and I am annoyed that the text and image boxes in layers when you move them around and try to align with the guides, no longer show the anchor boxes on top and bottom for easy centering. There are now pink lines that guide but for images, the pink lines appear so makes it difficult to know if something is truly centered. Please bring back the anchor boxes thank you!

Are you talking about the checkbox for Show Transform Controls on the options bar for the Move tool? If so, check the box to enable it.

The pink lines are called Smart Guides.

Do you mean center anchor point? Have you tried to press Ctrl + T then to move layer?

By the way, do you have View > Snap and Snap To turned on?
