Question

Brush circle circle working from centre not edge - how do I change it

Not sure how to explain this.  I like to work with a circle brush cursor and like it work from the edge of the circle rather than the centre.  After Photoshop update the circle cursor is working from the centre and I don't know how to amend back to the edge.  Can anyone help?  Thanks

First thing to do is see how your cursors are set in Preferences.

I personally like to work with a Full Size Brush Tip as below.

With this setting a fully hard round brush fills the cursor

But a fully soft round brush does not, although note that at the same pixel size, the cursor appears larger.

But if you have Build Up checked in Brush Settings, and you keep the mouse button pressed, or hold the stylus on the tablet, the cursor will eventually be fuilled.

How does that tally with when you are seeing?

Thank you for the information.  Just managed to sort it.  Turns out it was Windows Ink interfering with the pen settings.  I've switched off Windows Ink on my Wacom settings and all seems ok now.

What do you mean by circle cursor? Is it a brush or just the transformation tool?

Thank you for your reply.  It is the circle cursor on the brush when painting a mask.  Having done more testing it appears to be when I use my Wacom pen/tablet.  If I use my mouse it is fine.
