Brush continues painting after releasing cursor

Verison 21.1.0. I updated Monday morning - everything worked fine until this morning. Now everytime I use the brush tool, after releasing the cursor, the brush paints a line all the way to the top left corner of the artboard. The only time it doesn't is when I click and release the brush tool without dragging. If I click shift then paint a straight line, it continues that line way farther than I painted with my cursor.

The screenshot I attached shows what happens. The parts I outlined are where I painted with the brush tool, the rest of the line appeared after releasing my cursor.

I have tried closing Photoshop several times. Tried restarting once. I updated Photoshop Monday morning and this just started happening this today.

I looked everywhere for similar issues but couldn't find anything 😞

Thank you so much!!!

You can uninstall version 21.1 and reinstall version 20.0.3 from the CC app
